It's imperative that your terminal has EMV (Europay, Mastercard, and Visa) Level 1 and 2 certification, which verifies that the hardware and software meet global security standards for handling chip-based transactions.
When a device meets EMV standards acquirer testing is the next step. This process involves working closely with the acquiring bank to verify that the terminal can handle transactions correctly.
